Introduction
- ClassNK RuleViewer -
ClassNK RuleViewer is a newly developed “digital version” of the ClassNK Rules and Guidance for the Survey and Construction of Steel Ships that allows users to efficiently and easily search and browse the Rules and Guidance online using their web browsers.
The following features offer improved readability and time saving with respect to finding desired information in comparison to more traditional PDF and paper-based formats.
- Displaying the Rules and their corresponding Guidance side by side
- Links to the referenced Rules and Guidance
- Displaying the application conditions of the Rules and Guidance (such as date of application)
- Rule Amendment Search -
- Information on amendments can be viewed in a list format.
- Reasons and details of amendments, relevant IMO (International Maritime Organization) and IACS (International Association of Classification Societies) resolutions can be obtained.
- A filtering function allowing conditions such as “date of contract of construction”, “date of delivery”, etc. for amendments implemented by the Society since 2005, and then displaying amendments matching said conditions has been provided.
